Siem Reap Culinary Tours
With our Siem Reap culinary tours we explore Cambodian cuisine and culture at a much deeper level than any tours offered in the country. These are immersive culinary and cultural experiences, and excursions to temples, villages and countryside, however, the focus here is firmly on the food.
Who Should sign up for our Siem Reap Culinary Tours?
This is a tour for the foodies and those who just love to eat. It offers a chance to get under the skin of a much misunderstood cuisine and eat at every level, from a coupe of Asia’s best restaurants to street stalls with freshly hand-made noodles. Whether you want to learn about the influences and nuances of the cuisine or just eat great food, we’ll give you the opportunity to do both.
An Outline of our Itinerary for the Siem Reap Culinary Tours
You’ll eat at Cambodia’s best restaurants and authentic local eateries and food stalls. There will be market walks, street food tours, Cambodian cooking classes, and a culinary adventure to the country’s ‘rice bowl’ of Battambang, and tuk tuk trundles into the bucolic countryside and villages surrounding both Siem Reap and Battambang.
The tour begins in Siem Reap, launching pad for excursions to UNESCO World Heritage listed Angkor Wat and the Angkor Archaeological Park.
The focus will be on immersing you in this highly underrated cuisine while giving you an insight into the culture and everyday life of Cambodia. You’ll get to meet the locals who cook the food, sell it and make the ingredients that go into producing it. In the process, we’ll show you the Cambodia that we love.
Who’ll You’ll Meet on our Siem Reap Culinary Tours
While you’ll be travelling with us for the tour, we’re really about orgainising the itinerary, choosing the accommodation and restaurants and stalls you’ll eat at. As we’re running the tours we’re there to make sure that it runs smoothly, including being able to change the itinerary due to weather or any other unforeseen circumstances.
While we’ll be advising you on our specialities — writing and photography — with everything else our hand-picked locals will be explaining the culture, the heritage, the cuisine, and everyday life in Cambodia. We want you to get a fantastic insight into their lives.
